Team Tryouts

Brigham Young University Men’s Lacrosse Program holds “Open Tryouts” during the first week of school each Fall Semester.  Each year there are over 100 student athletes that express interest in becoming a member of the team.  This group is whittled down to an elite 38 that will represent the Cougars on the field.

Due to the unique nature of Brigham Young University, the coaching staff is accustomed to players leaving for and returning from LDS Missions all over the world.  In an effort to field the most competitive team possible, the coaching staff holds an “Invitation Only” Tryout each January for returning missionaries and transfer students.
